Annabelle Gurwitch

Annabelle Gurwitch was an American actress, comedian and TV host. Her most famous work is her role as the hostess on Dinner and a Movie (TBS) and as an environmentalist associated with secular humanism and environmental issues. Annabelle Gurwitch was a critically-acclaimed actor, as well as a New York Times Bestseller Author. She penned her memoirs You Didn't Say Tomato but I said Shut Up! Showtime Comedy Special. Gurwitch was the host of Dinner & a Movie on TBS for a number of years. TV viewers may remember her appearances in programs like Better Things Boston Legal Seinfeld Dexter Murphy Brown as well as WA$TED, a sustainability show that was telecast through The Planet Green Network. She makes regular appearances in PBS Newhour Real Time with Bill Maher and on NPR as well as penning opinion pieces for the New York Times WSJ The Hollywood Reporter and satire for The New Yorker and McSweeeneys. In her role as an actor the stage, her performance has made her one of the critics of the 'Top Ten Performances for the year in The New York Times as well as The Los Angeles Times.
